The weather here has been gorgeous for August. We’ve had daytime temps in the 60s! Yes, I said 60s. And the skies, the South Dakota Skies have been amazing. As I write this, it’s currently 50 degrees. Yes, I said Fifty.
Now that I’m back from nearly 5 weeks on the road, I’m catching up on my sleep, mail, and other work. I don’t know how these girls that make it to the NFR do it — oh wait, most of them probably have drivers so they can sleep and stuff! I’ve gotten to run about the ranch, pulling stallions, riding horses and otherwise enjoying my life.
Above: my colt Tony (DX Nukelear Ironman) runs back to his best buddy.
Gossip around the water cooler isn’t just for humans, don’tcha know?
Horses graze quietly in a gorgeous, serene setting.
Broodmares look on as we pull their range stallion from the herd.
These mares just got moved from their summer pasture and turned out to their winter pasture.
I don’t know about you, but fluffly clouds, blue skies, and colorful horses sure do make me smile. These images were all captured with my iPhone over the past few days as I’m back to running about the ranch aka, my regularly scheduled programming.
Happy Trails!
