Double A Feeds WSRRA Ranch Rodeo and Ranch Bronc RidingIn my neck of the woods, there are a few summer events everyone looks forward to.  One of those events is the Double A Feeds WSRRA Ranch Rodeo and Ranch Bronc Riding.  This year marks the 7th year for the event, which started out as a small ten team event sponsored by the local feed store, Double A Feeds, Inc. in Bridgeport, Nebraska.  Hosting a ranch rodeo had been a dream of store manager, Naomi Loomis’s for quite some time, and in 2007 she saw her dream realized.

The inaugural ranch rodeo filled up quickly and went off without a hitch.  In the following years, the event grew in popularity, and in 2010 became sanctioned by the Western States Ranch Rodeo Association (WSRRA).  In 2011 it became the Double A Feeds WSRRA Ranch Rodeo and Ranch Bronc Riding with the addition of ranch bronc riding as a separate event.   This will be the first year that women’s teams will be allowed to compete in their own division during the ranch rodeo.

Naomi and Double A Feeds are taking ten men’s teams, five women’s teams, and fifteen ranch bronc riders for the July, 26th event.  They are already full up on men’s teams, but still have openings for women’s teams.  For more information or to get a women’s team entered call (308) 262-1458 and ask for Naomi.   Double A Feeds Ranch Rodeo Poster

Join us, July 26th 2014, to see talented cowboys, cowgirls, and horses compete for a spot in the WSRRA Ranch Rodeo National Finals Rodeo in Winnemucca, Nevada.  The 7th Annual Double A Feeds WSRRA Ranch Rodeo and Ranch Bronc Riding begins at 5:00 pm MST at the fairgrounds in Bridgeport, Nebraska.  It is sure to be a good time, so don’t miss any of the action!
