Mary Williams Hyde, of Buckaroo Country Photography, is one of the premier photographers, arguably the best, within the buckaroo and cowboy community. She travels extensively, recording and preserving a heritage that has diminished through the decades. Mary is self-employed, allowing for her work to go directly to the client, those whom she is photographing. Her photographs border on a piece of fine art to be hung on a wall, and those she has captured cowboying should be considered some of the very lucky few.
Mary annually compiles a collection to be featured in her calendar, available for $16 each plus shipping. The calendar, which ships at the end of October, provides a small window into her rich, dusty travels from ranch rodeos and rodeos to private ranch brandings, shippings, and other events throughout primarily the Great Basin area of western states. These calendars are essential for keeping her on the road, offering all of us the great favor of permanently memorializing our way of living, our passions, our careers, our life work.
