About Sabrina "Bree" Poppe
I was raised ranching in eastern Oregon, and today continue to ranch with my husband, Jake, and two sons in Fallon, Montana. Eastern 'big sky' country is heavenly when it comes to raising cattle & kids ... We have composite cattle, produce some bulls annually, develop ranch and rope horses as well, and I also work as a Publisher/GM for the Tri-State Livestock News. (www.tsln.com) Between ranching and working for a livestock newspaper, unsure if I'm working or playing on any given day .... I feel fortunate to be doing so with my family. I enjoy training colts, though I no longer do it for a paycheck. I appreciate a surefooted, cowy ranch horse, the tenacity of a solid cutter, the grace and strength of a good head horse, the power and love of the game a good reiner can showcase ... But mostly, I embellish in the trust and growth that comes from watching a mare you respect and admire have a colt, and getting to finally sit on him someday - be it tracking cattle or taking him to the arena for the first time ... The journey is what I've always been after when it comes to ranching & horses ....
